Personal History | Larissa was born in Athens, Greece, to Demetrius Baylor, a cultural historian, and Isabella Romano-Baylor, a linguist of Italian descent. Her family valued education and heritage, raising Larissa in a household rich with stories of Earth’s history and traditions. She grew up bilingual, fluent in both Greek and Italian, and her parents instilled in her a love for learning and service. Though her parents had hoped she might follow in their academic footsteps, Larissa was drawn to the stars. After witnessing a Starfleet vessel in orbit during a cultural exchange program as a child, she knew she wanted to serve. |
